Official Visit by the e Government Steering Committee, Ministry of Development to TAFIS Project Management Site and BAG Networks

On the 4th of November 2002, the e Government Steering Committee members of the Ministry of Development visited TAFIS Project Management Site, Treasury Department of the Brunei Government and BAG Networks. The objective was to share Treasury Department’s experience on the implementation approach of TAFIS.

Chairman of that e Government Steering Committee in the Ministry of Development, Dato Paduka Hj Abd Majid bin PDPD DP Hj Abd Rahim were present to hear the presentation on the TAFIS project.

Hj Metassan bin Momin, Director of Financial Services, Treasury Department gave the opening speech and introductory remarks on the TAFIS project. Officials from the Ministry of Finance were also in attendance.

The guests were shown the operations of the Treasury’s Payment Unit and Cash Unit, and BAG’s TAFIS IT Centre and the Service Desk.

Experience sharing session was held prior to ending the visit at 12 noon followed by refreshment.
