Eighteen Sub-Treasury Officers from various Government Departments yesterday completed a two-day course on
Departmental Warrants Processing in TAFIS. Conducted by BAG Networks Sdn Bhd, the course was held at the
Ministry of Finance.
TAFIS, or Treasury Accounting and Financial Information Systems, is one of the e-Government flagship initiatives led
by the Ministry of Finance to improve the efficiency of government financial transaction processes maintained and
supported by BAG Networks Sdn Bhd.
The course was facilitated by Dyg Nora Norul Zaihirme bte Hj Tahir and Siti Nur Fatimah bte Hj Mostapa.
The training course syllabus included the 'Introduction to Departmental Warrants Processing', 'Governmental
Business Process Flow for Departmental Warrants in accordance to Financial Regulations', 'Overview of Departmental
Warrants Business Process in TAFIS' and 'Key Concepts & New Terminologies in TAFIS'.
The training course is part of BAG Networks' initiative to teach existing TAFIS users on the new functionalities of the
system, and to update the skill set of all the course participants.
The course ended yesterday afternoon with a Q&A session. Training Evaluation forms were later given out to the
course participants.

More than 30 personnel of BAG Networks attended its 5th anniversary celebration held recently at the Ministry of
Finance at the Commonwealth Drive in Jalan Kebangsaan.
Present at the ceremony was General Manager Hj Mohd Shakharulain bin Hj Mohd Thani.
The celebration was highlighted with a video presentation. A quarterly staff meeting was later held.
Bag Networks Sdn Bhd was established on July 18, 2001, where its first office was located at Ground Floor,
Secretariat Building, Jalan Elizabeth II. Bag Networks Sdn Bhd later moved to the Ministry of Finance Building at
Commonwealth Drive, Jln Kebangsaan in 2003.
